The edge2000 chassis is capable of feeding up to 16 PON networks each serving as many as 32 ONUs with 1 Gbps of symmetric bandwidth. The Xgen ONUs allow carriers to provision high-speed data services in 64 kbps increments up to 100 Mbps for each Ethernet port, while simultaneously supporting up to 2 toll grade DS1 TDM circuits using Alloptic's patented TDM over Ethernet technology. Using Service Level Agreements (SLAs) carriers may offer symmetrical high-speed data, dedicated wavelengths and minimum bandwidth guarantees to premium customers, while offering lower tariff, best-effort services to other customers. |

The Xgen1000 measures 1U and can be shelf or wall mounted. Xgen1000 ONTs come standard equipped with four 10/100BaseT Ethernet and optionally two T1/E1 ports or 4 POTS voice ports. |
