» PDF Datasheet
The home family of Ethernet access routers provides an ideal platform for delivering Voice, Data, and Video services to residential, small business and multi-tenant dwellings. Combining the cost effective bandwidth of optical fiber with Native IP transport, the home4000 brings an unparalleled 1 Gbps bandwidth to each subscriber. The home4000 is designed to cost effectively provide broadband access to small to medium sized multi-tenant dwelling units like a duplex or small apartment complex. With the ability to support traditional voice service (TDM), voice-over-IP (VoIP), high-speed data, RF and IP video, the home4000 efficiently provides the capability to serve the unique needs of multiple customers from a single, modular ONU.
Transport, Switching and Routing Functions
Alloptic's home4000 captures the power of an optical terminal coupled with a high capacity Ethernet switch and four traditional TDM voice circuits in a single, cost effective design. The result is a streamlined network architecture that not only minimizes adjunct equipment at the customer's location but, more importantly, drastically reduces both capital investment and operational expenses.
Full Suite of Voice, Data and Video Services
The home4000 operates on a symmetrical 1 Gbps Alloptic-powered GEPON. The home4000 provides the flexibility to offer either traditional TDM voice services, VoIP, or both; highly reliable support of up to four 10/100BaseT Ethernet ports; and the scalability to support today's widely deployed RF video as well as the rapidly emerging IP video of tomorrow. The home4000 provides up to a full 100Mbps symmetrical bandwidth to each living unit at the same time. This provides immediate revenue opportunities through the offering of higher speed data services than currently available as well as the immediate capability of HDTV over IP (the most cost effective distribution of Broadcast HDTV available today).
Designed for Today's Domiciles
Measuring a compact 1.5"H x 8.5"W x 8"D the home4000 has the flexibility to be mounted either indoor or on the outside of the structure. Each home4000 provides four RJ45 10/100BaseT interfaces. These connections use standard Ethernet cable meaning that no extra modems are required in the home to provide broadband data services. Four RJ11 POTS ports are provided for use with existing home phones and a built-in RG9/F-Connector are available for connection to the coaxial wiring inside the home supporting 'cable TV' video services. Remote service activation allows voice, data, and video service to be added incrementally as subscriber needs grow and, as needs change, any or all of these services may be remotely turned off thus eliminating the expense of truck rolls for all three services.
