The Xgen 9000 ONU allows carriers to provision high-speed data services which scale in 64 kbps increments up to a maximum of 100 Mbps for each Ethernet port, while simultaneously supporting up to 10 toll grade DS1 TDM circuits using Alloptic's patented TDM over Ethernet technology. Using Service Level Agreements (SLAs) carriers may offer symmetrical high-speed data, dedicated wavelengths and minimum bandwidth guarantees to premium customers, while offering lower tariff best-effort services to other customers. |

The rack mountable Xgen 9000 measures 2U and fits in a standard 19" rack. Xgen 9000 ONUs come standard equipped with four 10/100BaseT Ethernet and two T1/E1 ports, and may be ordered with an optional WDM interface that separates ITU grid wavelength services from the standard Gig ePON communications. To enable graceful and flexible growth, the unit also provides four flexible card slots. Each of these slots is capable of supporting either T1/E1 ports, 10/100BaseT ports, VoIP ports and POTS ports. Xgen 9000 ONUs are available in a temperature hardened version which provides unparalleled reliability in extreme environmental conditions. Additionally, the Xgen 9000 may be ordered with dual transceivers, providing added protection in the event of a partial network failure. |
