Communications
Alloptic offers the most robust set of communications features in the industry. Whether its high-data communications, TDM voice, or VoIP, Alloptic provides the options and flexibility service providers demand.
Data Services

The Alloptic system is optimized to deliver feature-rich Ethernet services including tagged and untagged traffic, E-line and E-LAN services, Q-in-Q, private LAN and other business-class Ethernet features. Alloptic ensures priority and per service performance with advanced multi-level traffic management capabilities. These features are leveraged to enable customer premise Ethernet switches to fan out services and still ensure QoS.

Alloptic ONTs offer a variety of industry-standard data networking interface types for connectivity. Alloptic provides the flexibility to connect end-user devices directly to the ONT or aggregate devices prior to connecting to the ONT. Each network port is capable of bi-directional connectivity for up to 100Mbps or 1000Mbps.

The flexibility to dedicate data service rates per port in 64Kbps increments up to 100Mbps (or 1000Mbps) and manage each port individually enables the user to specify the Type of Service (TOS), Quality of Service (QoS) and bandwidth available on a per device basis.

Voice Services - TDM and VoIP

Alloptic offers the only PON system to natively support TDM traffic. Additionally, the Alloptic system supports IP-based voice services ensuring compatibility with legacy systems as well as emerging VoIP networks.

Legacy TDM capabilities include both POTS lines and T1/E1 transport, providing the assurance of complete interoperability with existing TDM-based equipment.

Alloptic's patented TDM capabilities ensure that services are giving proper priority end-to-end. The result is reliable service with low latency. Service-interrupting problems such the jitter and wander issues plaguing other systems using circuit emulation techniques are eliminated.

From the Alloptic OLT to the ONT, Alloptic supports full 3-1-0 cross-connect capabilities, giving the network operator complete grooming control down to the DS0 level.

T1/E1 interfaces are industry-standard throughout, ensuring compatibility with existing channel banks, PBX equipment, DSU/CSU devices, routers and other T1/E1 equipment. Alloptic offers a line of High Density POTS Service (HDPS) channel banks and multiplexers for expanded voice capabilities up to 30 POTS ports, T1/E1 aggregation (backhaul services), and POTS special services.

T1/E1 capabilities are not limited to voice transport. T1/E1-based data services such as frame relay, ISDN, fractional T1, and clear-channel T1 or E1 are supported as well.

The broad range of T1/E1 abilities is a distinct advantage with Alloptic. Unlike most solutions, it ensures that a single system on a single network using a single fiber supports both IP and TDM services. Legacy equipment and systems are not abandoned nor do they require a separate network to stay on-line.
